I enjoyed my first day off in nine days today. The boyfriend and I went to an event called "The Taste of Calgary." We purchased tickets ($0.60 each) and used them to buy huge samples of food from a variety of local restaurants. We had butter chicken, korma chicken, thai cashew chicken, Jugo Juice, and chocolately desserts. The boyfriend also had ribs. It was all yummy and cheap, we ate our fill for only $7 each. I should also mention that we had from-scratch-waffles and fresh fruit salad for breakfast. We are both as full as can be. The boyfriend is currently fast asleep and I think I will be joining him very soon!

The boyfriend spent this past week in Toronto trying to find a home for us. I won't bore you with the details, but it was a very stressful experience that ended with a 48 hour stay at the Toronto airport. I was very happy to finally have him home at 2am Friday night! He did manage to find us a place, so all is well. I am now finally starting to get a little bit excited about the move.


Things I'm Excited About:

-finding crafty stores and buying loads of fabric and yarn and buttons
-going to Niagara falls
-Sephora (I *love* lip gloss)
-setting up my crafting space in the new apartment
-the slanted ceiling and gabled windows in our new home
-adopting a cat from the Toronto Humane Society
-our new robin's egg blue couch
-coming back to Calgary for visits

I bought a great cd today, "Country Classic Gold." 35 classic country songs. Listening to it is reminding me of childhood road trips with my dad. The boyfriend and I both agreed it would perfect be for the drive to Toronto. Oh, "Rhinestone Cowboy" just came on!

I really should post more often, I seem to have loads to say when I finally do post something.



This is a picture of my sister, Jenny. She is my Rhinestone Cowgirl. She rode in the opening of the Millarville Rodeo this year. Quite a big deal when you are a seventeen year old "Buckle Bunny." (Rodeo groupie).
